Official Campground Frisbee Golf Rules
By Christopher Bradford
Equipment Needed
- A Frisbee
- Open area with some
hazards
- Beer (optional but
makes a bit more challenging)
- 2 – 4 people
Basic Rules
- To start the game the
two players flip a coin. The winner can either choose to play
first or choose the first hole.
- After the specifics of
the first hole have been determined and agreed upon by the two
players you begin the game.
- The Goal is to hit the
“hole” with the least amount of throws.
- The point system is
fairly simple. If player 1 reaches the “hole” after 3 throws and
player 2 reaches the hole after 5 throws, then player one gets
two points. Who ever has the most points after 18 holes is the
winner.
Specifics
- The player must throw
the Frisbee with at least one foot standing where the Frisbee
last fell or if it’s the first throw with one foot on the agreed
spot. If a player is unable to shoot from the given spot that
the Frisbee fell then the player must re-throw from the previous
spot and suffer a 1 throw penalty.
- As in normal golf the
player that is the furthest from the hole throws next
- Campground Frisbee golf
is different than normal gold in that there are many more
hazards (dogs, grumpy retirees, campground security etc…) All of
these hazard are part of the field. Where ever you pick up the
Frisbee is where you have to play it. If a dog takes of with the
Frisbee and you don’t catch him until the front office of the
camp ground….Then the front office is where you take your next
throw is from. Not where the Frisbee original landed.
Other Hints
- Load backpacks full of
beer to add an extra challenge to the game.
- Be creative with
picking holes. Some ideas include; tree’s, poles, signs, rubbish
bins, inside tents, tops of picnic tables, friends! Hehe
